EILAND, Emmett David of Channelview. Age 73. Died 10/16/1984 (Tuesday) in M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston after a long illness. Services held 10/18 (Thursday) at the First Christian Church. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Mike Worrel and Rev. Troy Smith officiated.

He was BORN on 3/28/1911 in the Gay Hill Comm., son of Ed Eugene & Mary Elizabeth Worley Eiland. Married Margie O. Whiteley in Rockdale on 9/22/1935. He worked in Rockdale area with McAlester Fuel Co. until 1945 when he moved to Channelview where he was employed as a steelworker with Armco Steel Corp. until his retirement. Member of Masonic Lodge 1304 in Channelview and member of Channelview Church of the Nazarene. Preceded in death by an infant son, James W. Eiland and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
