DICARLO, Elisabetta “Betty” (Currado) – Peacefully after a long battle, surrounded by the love of her family, on Sunday July 13, 2014, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in her 54th year. Beloved wife of 28 years to Joe; Loving mother of Victoria; Dear daughter of Peter and Connie Currado, Dear sister of Domenic (Philomena) Currado, of Mississauga, and Marianne (Vishal) Dhami, of St. Catharines; Daughter-in-law of Danny and Anna Maria DiCarlo; Sister-in-law of Rose & Domenic Magro, Connie and Gino Pizzicalla, Sandy DiCarlo, and Lisa and Charles Sager. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Niagara College, Betty started Design Connection on Queen Street, and after her husband Joe joined her, they grew the business to be known as Party Connection.
Special thanks are extended to Dr. Giesbrecht, RPN Colleen, Julie and all the caring nursing team of 3B Oncology Department of St. Catharines General Hospital.
Betty’s family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday. Vigil will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Scapular Church on Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 o’clock. The Rite of Committal with burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Oncology Department of the Walker Family Cancer Centre (One Foundation).
