Son of William Nanny, who changed his name to Anway, and Hannah Hall. His father and his family were the first white settlers in Scipio township, Seneca Co., Ohio in 1821, and named the township. Harvey married Eunice Brown March 22, 1838 who bore five children in as many years and died; Silas Benjamin, Phebe, Bethana, Samuel H., Eunice S. Harvey then married Margaret Marie Lewis June 04, 1845 and had seven more children. Eliza, Almira, Joanna, John, Charles, Zella, and Fannie. Harvey married 3rd Rebecca (Rogers) Kellogg. Harvey lived in Ohio until about 1853, Michigan until about 1862, Iowa until 1865, Colorado until 1881, returned to Ohio until 1890 and lived the last seven years of his life with his eldest child in Central Lake, Michigan. Farmer, Woodsman, and also ran a guest house.

All his children are atached below except Joanna, b 17 Sep 1852 in Bloom Seneca, Ohio; married George William Belt 24 Feb 1876 in CO; died ca 1901 near Boise ID. She had 5 children: George, Mildred, Gertrude, Lily, Arthur.
