WAS AN ITHACA WOMAN.
Dr. Frances Mayerhofer Succumbs to an Operation.
Dr. Mayerhofer, instructor in Chicago University of Medicine, who was formerly Miss Frances Twist, of this city, died last Tuesday evening from the effects of an operation, performed that afternoon.
Dr. Mayerhofer was a graduate of the University in which she was at the time of her death employed. She left this city about thirteen years ago, for Chicago. She was about forty years of age, and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Augusta A. Brown, and Mrs. William Stubbs, and a brother Salem Twist, all of this city. The funeral was held last Thursday and she was buried at Chicago.
