Graveside services were held Monday, April 11, at Woodbine Cemetery for Falba Petterson, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Petterson, 77, died Friday, April 8, 2005 at Artesia General Hospital.

Mrs. Petterson was born August 24, 1927 in Pioneer, Texas; the daughter of Jefferson Davis Hurley and Laura C. (Thomas) Hurley.

On March 4, 1943 she was married to Luther "Pete" Petterson in Deming, New Mexico. She came to Artesia in 1956 from Pecos, Texas. He preceded her in death July 8, 2000.

She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Denomination.

Preceded in death by parents, a son Merl Petterson, a sister Ireta Burnside, and a brother Olan Corley.

Survivors include daughter Sandra Petterson of Artesia; son Thomas Petterson of Artesia; grandchildren Jeff Petterson of Aztec, N.M., and Tom Petterson of Artesia; great-grandchildren Alexis and Blaze.
