Mrs. Matthews, wife of Major Wm. B. Matthews, died at the home of her husband, "Bunker Hill," on Thursday evening last after a lingering illness of consumption. The deceased lady was a daughter of the late Col. Wm. Dorsett, of Prince George's county, and was a sister of Mr. Hawkins Dorsett, a well known Baltimore city business man and of Mr. J.A. Dorsett, of Pope's Creek, this county. The deceased lady was highly esteemed by a host of true friends and her christian charity will be ever remembered by all who knew her. She leaves, beside her grief-stricken husband, a family of seven children, they being, Mrs. Nelson, wife of the Bishop of Georgia, Mrs. Wilmer, wife of Mr. Pere Wilmer, Jr., Mr. John B.
