Ramona Hampton King, of Pelham, GA passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital on January 19, 2021, at the age of 83. Ramona, was born in Pelham, Georgia on December 1, 1937 to Ellis and Hortense Hampton. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brothers, Don, Lawrence, and Eddie Hampton, nephews, Delane Logue and Layton Hampton, and nieces, Mitzi Milhollin and Natalie Gilliard. After completing her school and training, Ramona, began her career as a nurse. She retired from Coats and Clark, in Pelham, GA., as the plant nurse and continued to care for others at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home in Thomasville, GA. She was named Mrs. Southwest Georgia Senior in 2016 and spent the following year traveling around Georgia singing and entertaining at many events. During her lifetime, she taught many Sunday school classes, used her voice to serve the Lord, and devoted most of her time to her precious Bill and grandchildren. Ramona touched many others through her love of God and her many talents. She was an avid and active member of Pine Level Baptist Church and adored her church family. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her brothers, W.R. Hampton (Francis), Tallahassee, FL., Phillip Hampton (Carolyn), Dublin, GA., Herman Hampton (Peggy), Pelham, GA., sisters, Maureen Hampton (Hilmon), Pelham, GA., Sharon Blocker (Mike) , Eustis, FL. , Nancy Gillard (Wayne), Pelham, GA., her son, Shane Brinson (Sarah) Albany, GA., her stepson Bill King, Jr. (Sarah), (Waukeenah, FL), her stepdaughter Debra Tryan (Al), (Thomasville, GA), her grandchildren, Shelby Brinson, Kell Brinson, Kody Brinson, Jake Brinson, Chris King, Holley Murphy, Trey Tryan, Mary Catherin Haymons, and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Ramona Hampton King will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11 am at Pine Crest Memory Gardens, along with the services for her beloved husband, William Edward King, Sr. The viewing will take place at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens prior to the Funeral at 10 am. Pallbearers will include Walter Brackin, Greg Clark, Ware Godwin, Marc Logue, Walter Godwin, Ricky Powe, James Davis, Larry Adams, Jerry Kennedy, and Carlos Cameron.
