Ruth Louise Aldrich, 79, of 1380 N. Seminary St. died Friday, July 21, 1995, at St. Mary Medical Center.
Born April 29, 1916, in Gilson to Earl L. and Pearl P. Adams Young, she married Rowen W. Aldrich on April 4, 1942, in Little Rock, Ark. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, David W. of Galesburg. Two sisters preceded her in death.
A graduate of Western Illinois University, she was a teacher in the Knox County school system.
She also was a volunteer for Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville and for Galesburg hospitals for 23 years.
Private family graveside services will be at Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville.
