Mrs. Ruth I. Meyer, aged 77, of Comstock Park, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008 in Norfolk, VA where she has lived with family for the past year. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Meyer; her sister, Erma Balbach; brothers, Donald Bachert and Earl Bachert. Surviving are her children, Michael Meyer, Laura (Phillip) Vesely, Pamela (Robert) McClure, Gregg (Rebecca) Meyer, Thomas (Julia) Meyer, Sally (Henry) Grzybowski; 16 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; brother, William (Sally) Bachert; sisters, Marge Kirgis, Mary Bennett, Leah Amacher; brother-in-law, Cornelius Balbach; several nieces and nephews. Ruth worked for many years with her husband and family at Alpine Floral.
