PULASKI, GA: Lonnie Herrington, age 74 passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Orchard Health and Rehabilitation Center, Pulaski, GA after an extended illness. He was a native of Bulloch County, a former employee of the City of Statesboro and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by two brothers, Deacon Willie Herrington and Reverend Joe H. Herrington, both of Statesboro; three sisters, Lizzie Hill and Lillie Nunnally both of Statesboro and Katie Herrington, Decatur, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Herrington will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hodges Grove Baptist Church, with the Reverend Dr. John D. Harmon, pastor/eulogist and Reverend Ernest Harris, presiding. Burial will be in A. C. Dunlap Cemetery.
Viewing will be begin at 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Herrington will lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
