Golda Yvonne Myers, 81, went home to our Lord and Savior on December 31, 2020. She was born in Waco, Texas on December 15, 1939 to R. V. and Ethel "Snux" Robertson Myers.

The Myers family moved to Houston in 1940 when Yvonne was six months old. She attended Garden Oaks Elementary, Hamilton Junior High, and Reagan High School, graduating in 1958. She began working as a Secretary for Harris County about 1960 and retired from the Harris County District Attorney's office in 1998.

After her father's death in 1984, Yvonne, her mother and sister began traveling together in 1985 to Hawaii and then switched to two-to-three week road trips across the United States, visiting every state except Alaska. Separately, Yvonne visited Mexico, England, France and Scotland.

Family reunions peaked her interest in genealogy and she researched the Myers family while her sister researched the Robertson family.

She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church for over 60 years.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Ann Myers of Houston; her nephew Jim Ford and wife Sheri of Austin; great niece Taylor Nowakowski and husband Kyle, and great-great nephew Thomas James Coleman of Pflugerville; great niece Brooke Ford and great nephew Blake Ford, both of Austin; numerous cousins in Texas and across the United States.

Yvonne will be cremated and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service will not be held.
