Benjamin Franklin Cook was born on March 12, 1904 in Tennessee, the son of William Blackman Cook (1867–1938) and Mary Louisa "Mollie" (Wilkerson) Cook (1868–1945).
A retired bookkeeper living at 424 Grapevine Avenue in rural Madison, Davidson County, he was 57 years old, single and had severe pulmonary emphysema when he died of of an acute pulmonary infection on December 11, 1961 at Vanderbilt University Hospital. Burial was on December 12th in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
