MARY LOUISE "MOLLIE" WILKERSON was the 9th of 12 children born to Benjamin Franklin Wilkerson and Mary Ann Elizabeth Sanders. She grew up at Wilkerson Station in the Antioch area of Davidson Co., where he father had stores that served the train passengers and neighbors. Her father believed that a good education was important for all his children. Mollie had completed 3 years of college before her marriage. Mollie's mother was a great granddaughter of Nancy Morgan Hart, the Georgia heroine of the Revolution.

Mollie married William Blackman COOK January 3, 1900. In the early years of their marriage, William was a partner in a funeral home business.
In 1906 William was elected Chief Clerk of the Circuit Court for Davidson Co., a position he was re-elected to several times. In the 1920's William became City Comptroller of Nashville, a position he held until his death.
Mollie and William were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
They were involved with many civic and charitable organizations.

Mollie and William had 4 sons:
1. Wiles Karsch Cook, 1900-1951, an Attorney, Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps in WW II, married Marie Jeannette O'Connor
2. William "Bill" Blackman Cook, Jr., 1903-1965, married Nancy Vica Robinson
3. Benjamin Franklin Cook, born abt. 1904
4. Charles Wilkerson Cook, 1905-1986, married Virginia Jones (who lived to be 105)

Mollie's grandparents were:
Meredith William Wilkerson and Ann Lawrence
Wiley Sanders and Martha B. Hart
