Bill Cranford, Sr., 74, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021. He was born in Minden, LA and was a resident of Prairieville, LA.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Waguespack Cranford, and was the proud father of Bill (Rebecca) Cranford, Jr., Chad (Stacy) Cranford and Katie (James) Bamber.

He was the loving grandfather of Madeleine, Ally, Chad David, Landry and Genevieve Cranford, Matthew, William, Grace Kathryn and Andrew Bamber.

He is also survived by his brother, Charles Cranford; mother-in-law, Jaqueline Waguespack; many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Bill’s first love was his family. He adored Chris, his wife of 39 years, and was very proud of the life they created. He enjoyed many activities with his children and grandchildren; watching them play sports, perform in band concerts and go hunting and fishing. Papa loved spending time with them and always had candy to share. He was an avid LSU fan and enjoyed attending football and baseball games with his wife.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Ivy Cranford; brothers, Hugh, Danny and Jimmy Doyle Cranford; granddaughter, Caroline Cranford; and father-in-law, Albert Waguespack.

Visitation will precede the Funeral Mass from 10:30 AM -12:30 PM at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA. Interment will be at Hope Haven Garden of Memories Cemetery following the funeral services.
