She was born on July 19, 1925 in Tippecanoe County, IN to the late Raymond and Goldie (Arndt) Barnaby.
Mary graduated from Stockwell High School in 1944 and went to work for L.S. Ayres in Indianapolis and then Indiana Bell in Lafayette.
On February 8, 1946, she married Harold E. Sipple in Clarks Hill Christian Church. He preceded her in death in May of 1988.
She was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church and enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers and taking care of the house.
Surviving are eight children; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and their children.
Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Priscilla Sipple; two sisters, Iona Vance and Ellen Wilson; and two brothers, Fred and Sonny Barnaby.
A funeral service will be held private for the family with a live stream of the service available to the public starting at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Interment will be next to her husband at Union Cemetery in Clarks Hill.
