Theron Patrick Roland, 60, of Joplin, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home.
Theron was born December 3, 1960, in Joplin to the union of the late Ralph and Lucy (Garcia) Roland. He graduated from Joplin Memorial in 1978. Following graduation, Theron attended college before becoming an entrepreneur and enlisting in the U.S. Army. He served in the National Guard and worked as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 2008. Theron served tours in Panama and Iraq. He enjoyed riding his Harley and cruising in his Chevy Impala SS.
On July 22, 1986, Theron was united in marriage to Diana Greene. She survives.
Additional survivors include his children, Jeremy Anderson (Heather) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Aaron Anderson (Nicole) of Webb City, Rebecca Boyd (Jared) of Nixa and Terron Roland (Morgan) of Carthage; six grandchildren, Brycen Roland, Matthew Anderson, Brayden Harris, Mila Anderson, Madelyn Anderson, and Easton Boyd; siblings, Bill Roland (Mary), Charles Roland, John Roland, Jerry Roland, Michael Roland (Ashley) and Gilbert Roland, all of Joplin; mother-in-law, Mary Barr, of Spiro, Oklahoma; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Parker Mortuary with visitation following. Burial with full military honors will take place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
