PERCY B BUCKMASTER:
Birchwood; 93, died Wednesday [8-02] at Barron Riverside Manor Nursing Home. He was born 21 Jun 1906 to Albert & Emma Bates Buckmaster in the Town of Clinton where he grew up & received his education. As a young man, A logger. He married Irene Vesper 26 Jun 1930 & worked for the Kissel Car Co in Michigan. He later returned to Rice Lake & worked various jobs before working for the Rice Lake Laundry. He drove truck for laundry pickup & delivery; then worked as a truck driver for Northern Transportation Truck Line in Rice Lake; then for Briggs Trucking in Eau Claire. He semi-retired in 1963. After the death of his wife in 1964 he married Mildred Tucker. Before final retirement, he worked for Bresina-Kirkman Distributors in Barron & for Mastercraft in Rice Lake. He enjoyed the outdoors & loved to fish, trap & hunt. He also enjoyed wood carving, poetry & singing.
Survivors include 3 children: Larry Buckmaster-Haugen; Sheri Brackeen-Rice Lake; Bonita Schultz-Sarona; 9 grandchildren & several gr grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his second wife Mildred; 2 sons-Buddy & Richard & a dau-Sandy.
A memorial service is Friday night [8-06] at the Jarocki Funeral Chapel in Rice Lake with burial of cremains in Nora Cem.
