Lois Edna Myers Sweet, 83, of Salem, was called home on Monday, September 2, 2013. Professionally, she helped her late husband, Fred Sweet, in his heating and air conditioning business. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lewis and Kenneth Myers; and sister- in-law, Lois Myers.

Her surviving family includes her sons, Larry Sweet and wife, Ginger, Michael Sweet and wife, Sandra, and Mark Sweet; sister, Katherine Neighbors; grandchildren, Kris Sweet and wife, Kate, Michael Shawn Sweet and wife, Kelley, and Chase Sweet and girlfriend, Brittany; great- grandchildren, Alexandra, Parker and Megan Sweet; and special friends, Roger and Kathy Mills.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013, in the funeral home's chapel. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
