He is also survived by two daughters, Tammy (Mark) Holaway of Jacksonville and Tracy Roegge of Springfield; 3 grandchildren, Katheryn Zink, Alyssa (Jordan) Nicolls, Alex Roegge; 3 step-grandchildren, Caleb Holaway, Katie Holaway and Hunter Holaway; one brother, Jim Cundiff of Springfield; one sister, Rose (Chuck) Dumbris of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Chester Cundiff, Jr., Gene Cundiff, Charlie Cundiff and Bobby Cundiff and two sisters, Roberta Wilson and Pauline Feagans.
Bill retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation as a Highway Maintainer. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Arenzville United Methodist Church. He had played Minor League baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals and semi-professional baseball in St. Lazare, Canada. He and his team were inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007. Bill enjoyed fishing and wood working.
A private service will be held with interment at Arenzville North Cemetery.
