Daughter of Mieszko the Old and his first wife Erszébet of Hungary. It is unclear when she was born, but it was before 1154. Her death date is likewise uncertain, but it seems to be after 12 December 1201 but before 1202. Around 1170 she married Bernhard von Ballenstedt whom she bore five children. He was installed as Duke of Saxony in 1180 after Emperor Friedrich I "Barbarossa" deprived Heinrich "der Löwe" of his titles.
