Mr. Lawrence Hamilton Tatum, Sr., 67, died Monday morning (December 28, 2020) at his residence after a brief illness.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County having graduated from Ware County High School in 1972. Lawrence retired from Union Camp after 23 ½ years of service, and he was currently employed by Wayne Haddock Lodging. He was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church and Frank C. Folks Masonic Lodge #192.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, James Hamilton Tatum and Hazel Marie Crawford Tatum; sister, Sherry Misener; and grandson, Ethan Tatum.

Survivors include his wife, Annette Ambrose Tatum of Waycross; one son, Lawrence Hamp Tatum of Waycross; one daughter, Kelly Murray (Tony) of Offerman; grandson, Connor Hamilton Tatum; four siblings, Barbara Dickson, Janice Brown (Jerry), Marva Tatum, and Chris Tatum (Jennifer) all of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (December 30, 2020) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
