Ruth Doll, age 91, Trumansburg Road, Ithaca formerly of Dryden, New York passed away peacefully at Cayuga Ridge Nursing Facility with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

Born April 11, 1928 in Genoa, NY she was the daughter of Ivan & Florence Atwater Streeter and wife of the late John L. Doll who died July 1, 2015. Ruth graduated from Dryden High School and received her BS from Houghton College. After graduation she was a Lab Technician at Packer Hospital, Plattsburg Hospital and finally, Cortland Memorial Hospital. On August 30, 1956, she married John L. Doll and began her career as a full time wife and mother. Ruth was very active in the Garden Club, 4H, Scouts and Camp Fire Girls. After her children were grown, she went back to work at the Ithaca Journal from 1971 until her retirement in 1993.

Ruth is survived by her son, John Doll of Greene; her daughters, Nancy (Doug) Haner of Candor and Peggy (Sean) Kincaid of Newfield; daughter in law, Tina Doll of Freeville; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her son, William Doll and brothers, Robert, Stanley and Willis Streeter.
