On December 20, Eleanor Marzullo, age 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior. A native of Philadelphia, she was born June 8, 1934 to Mary and Frank Marzullo. While working at the post office in Philadelphia, a co-worker shared with Eleanor the love of Jesus Christ. She turned down a tennis scholarship to Penn State to follow her calling and attend Philadelphia Bible College. After graduation she chose to serve the Lord through Bible Club Ministries. A life-long missionary, Eleanor reached thousands of youth with God’s word through Camp Sonshine as well as Bible clubs in South Philadelphia. Eleanor also worked as long time Director of Grace Settlement House located on Federal Street in Philadelphia ministering to the needs of the area. Eleanor taught at Calvary Bible Institute in Media, Pa., Other ministries involved Ladies’ Bible Studies as well as a ministry at the US Naval Base where she provided biblical counseling. Eleanor was born 9th of 10 children, 5 girls and 5 boys into an Italian American family. Four of her older brothers served in World War 2. The youngest of the 4 was killed on the battlefield in France. Eleanor is survived by her younger brother, Carmen, many nieces and nephews, dear friends and countless brothers and sisters in Christ. Relatives and Friends are invited to her graveside service on Saturday December 26, 2020 at 12:00pm. The Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery is located at 11 Greenfield Road, Lancaster, PA 17062.
