Linda Hicks Warren (Bakanec), beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother died peacefully at 6am on December 20th at Avamere Memory Care in Hillsboro, Oregon. She was born in Hillsboro, May 29th, 1947 to Coy and Eunice Hicks. She was married to Don Bakanec in July of 1973 and later became pregnant with their beloved son Brian, September of 1977. Linda and Don were later divorced. In November of 1998, Linda married Ken Warren and they have spent the last 22 year enjoying traveling and spending time with family.

In 1983, Linda began her 18 year career at the Hillsboro School District. She spent the first few years as a Teacher's Assistant, until she received the opportunity to become the head receptionist for the District. Linda also spent years involved in the American Federation of Teachers Union (AFTU) where she helped organize the Hillsboro School District to what it is today. Linda loved her job and later retired in 2001. She spent her retirement years traveling, cruising, and spending time with her family.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mary (Lucille) and Deborah Hall, her brother Donald (Robert). Linda is survived by her husband, Ken Warren; her sisters, Loretta Housley, Frances O'Dell and Ed Gantz; her son, Brian Bakanec and his wife Kim Bakanec; her 3 step children, Trish Warren, Jason Warren, and Hilda Washburn; her 8 grandchildren, Breelynn Bakanec, Kiley Delgado, Elise Warren, Avery Warren, Olivia Warren, Kaitlyn Washburn, Dorothy Washburn, and Aiden Washburn ; her 1 great grandchild, Lincoln Delgado; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
