William E. Bogart, age 61, of 637 South Cherry, Olathe, died January 22 at Olathe Community Hospital. He was born November 24, 1913 at Gypsum, Kan. He lived there until 1941. He was in postal railway services for 38 years.

He served in World War II, in the U.S. Army postal service and also Oran, North Africa and Bari, Italy. He also worked in the Salina, Kan. Post Office, and the Olathe Post Office.

He married Irma Bengston in 1942. They moved to Olathe in 1946.

He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors are his widow: Mrs. Irma R. Bogart of the home, one daughter: Mrs. Karen Davis, 8823 West 89th St. Overland, Park, Kan.; his mother: Mrs. Laura Bogart, Gypsum, Kan.; three brothers: Ralph Bogart, Gypsum, Kan., Kenneth Bogart, Salina, Kan., and Wayne Bogart, Wichita, Kan.; three sisters: Mrs. Artha Sippel, Bridgeport, Kan., Miss Irene Bogart, Salina, Kan., and Mrs. Edna Armbruster, Lindsborg, Kan.

Funeral services will be held at 7 P.M. Friday at the Frye Chapel in Olathe. Services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Gillum Funeral Home in Gypsum, Kan. Burial will be in the Gypsum (Kan.) Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Harold Manker Scholarship Fund, of Kansas City, Missouri, or the Kaw Valley Heart Fund.
