Cora was a daughter of John Adolphus and Maggie Viola Jensen Lee, born in Brigham City, Utah. She graduated from Box Elder High School. She married Dale Young Higginson on 17 Sep 1940. He died of a sudden illness shortly thereafter. Cora enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably during World War II. She returned home to Utah and married DeVern James Rasmussen on 22 May 1946 in Logan, Cache County, Utah. They were the parents of three daughters: Ruth Valorie (26-27 Dec 1946), Sharon and Zan. She was a school teacher for a number of years, and worked for a period of time at the Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City. She loved gardening and caring for her beautifully landscaped lawn. She enjoyed sharing her flowers with family and friends. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and thoroughly enjoyed the many opportunities she had to participate in temple work. She died on February 17, 1999, in Logan, Cache County, Utah.
