Son of Lewis Hamilton Bobbitt and Ellen J. (Ross) Bobbitt. He was a C&O Railroad conductor, operating out of Hinton, WV, when it was the C&O terminus. After Collis P. Huntington moved the terminus to the town that was named for him -- Huntington, WV -- Osee transferred there with his family.

His name also appears as Ocie -- even his son Ray wrote it that way at times. John W. Bobbitt also spelled it Ocie in his 1985 "The Bobbitt Family in America." However, Osee is the preferred spelling as indicated by his gravestone.
