He served in the US Army and upon discharge joined the Houston Fire Deoartment. Jack retired after 33 years and 10 months. He also worked for the Anderson County Sheriff's office as a jailer for 6 years.
Jack is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Grayson Wedgeworth; sons, Troy Wedgeworth (Shelia) of Houston, Chris Parker (Sue) of Houston; daughters, Connie Wedgeworth Tucker (Mike) of Slocum, Vicky Saenz of Palestine, Sherri Lambright (David) of Frankston, Tabitha Mendez (Adam) of Bossier City; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sister, Sue Toups of Beaumont and brother-in-law, Billy Jack Rogers of Pert.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John, Doyce and Riley Wedgeworth and infant brother, Troy; sisters, Dorothy Brown, Geraldine Rogers and Marie Freeman.
Services will be at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Chapel with Gerald Hall officiating; burial will follow at Neches Cemetery.
