Theresa A. "Tea" Doty, 93, of Huntley, formerly of Hampshire, passed away Friday morning, Dec. 11, 2020.
She was born May 12, 1927, in Elgin, the daughter of Clarence and Cecelia (Welch) Seyller. Teas was a member of the 1944 Class of Hampshire High School and attended Ellis Business College.
Tea married Ralph L. "Rusty" Doty on Sept. 17, 1955, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Hampshire and they were area residents all their life, moving from Hampshire to Huntley in 1989. Mrs. Doty had worked at the First National Bank in her earlier years and as a secretary for Cole Trucking in Huntley for 13 years, retiring in 1992.
Surviving is her daughter, Kathleen "Sue" Doty of Huntley.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rusty on April 6, 2003; and her beloved daughter, Kelly Doty on Oct. 1, 2012.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd, Huntley. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire.
