OREGON, Mo. - George D. Seyller, 85, of Oregon, passed away on Aug. 29, 2019, at an Oregon care center.
He was born in Elgin, Illinois, on March 7, 1934.
After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1953 until 1955, earning the rank of Corporal.
In 1958 he married Joann A. Seibens, and they became parents of two sons.
George owned a truck body manufacturing company.
Preceding him in death were: his parents, Clarence and Cecelia "Celia" (Welch) Seyller; and brother-in-law, Ralph "Rusty" Doty.
Survivors include: his wife, Joann, of Oregon; sons, Dennis (Sharon) Seyller, of Savannah, Missouri, and Karl (Pam) Seyller, of St. Joseph; sister, Theresa "Tea" Doty, of Huntley, Illinois; three grandchildren, Ame, Robert "Bob" and Eli Seyller; and one great-grandchild, Matt Seyller.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon.
Family will greet friends one hour prior to services.
Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery.
