Two West Plains sisters, Rachel Cannon, 97, left, and Maude Hopkins, 95, celebrated their birthdays Friday with 40 friends and relatives at a lunch at Ryan's restaurant. The two, whose maiden name was Breedlove, were born and raised in the Pottersville area. They told The Quill they can remember riding horse-drawn wagons to West Plains and where the watering troughs were along what is now K Highway. The sisters enjoy traveling, eating out and attending New Liberty Baptist Church, where they've been congregants since they were children. (Quill/Woolman)
