Almond appears to have died sometime after 1884, as he is noted in the estate records of his father in the years of 1880-1884. From the claim filed by Samuel McCrary for the destruction of property by the Union Army of Sherman in the fall of 1863, Almond was living 200-300 yards from his father Samuel McCrary, who owned the 160 acres SW quarter section where this cemetery is located.
