CHICKAMAUGA -- Alvarene Bryson died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at her home.
She was 72. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas.
She attended Rossville Church of God and was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Leroy Bryson, and a son, Howard Leroy Bryson Jr.
Survivors include five daughters, Sandra Rymer, Chickamauga, Teresa Alboudi, Nashville, Tamara Leinsz, LaFayette, Ga., Brenda Pell, Chattanooga, and Carol Ann Bryson, Greenville, Tenn.; three sons, Harry "Buster" Daniels, Chattanooga, William Porter Thrailkill, Sand Mountain, Ala., and Robert Lynn Thrailkill, Chickamauga; three sisters, Marie Chastain, Memphis, Irene Blake, Chattanooga, and Louise Powell, Memphis; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Neal Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
Visitation will be today after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
