Harold Raymond Scofield, 93, of La Junta passed away on Nov. 27, 2019, at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta.

He was born in Rocky Ford on Aug. 14, 1926, to Oren B. & Leland Tulip (Land) Scofield. He married Grace McGlothlin on May 3, 1946, in Raton, N.M.; she preceded him in death.

He farmed west of Rocky Ford in 1947-48. On Nov. 1, 1948, he went to work for the City of La Junta from which he retired on April 30, 1992. After retiring, they would travel all over the Western States plus Canada and Alaska, and all the Eastern states. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting deer and elk, traveling and spending time with his family.

Harold is survived by his children, Ronald (Elane) Scofield, Judy Graham, Harold Lee (Nancy) Scofield and Carl (Melanie) Scofield; eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Oren Scofield Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Linda Scofield and son-in-law J.D. Graham.

As per Harold's wishesm cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled.
