Services are set for 2 pm Friday at Owen Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Jonas Partridge and Solomon Bullitt officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Memorial Gardens [Sapulpa]. The casket will not be opened at the services.
Mr. Welch was born Jan. 24, 1918 in South West City, Mo. He moved to Sapulpa in 1970. Welch served in the US Navy during World War II.
He retired as a foreman from Kerr Glass Co., Sand Springs, [Oklahoma]. He was a member of the Sand Springs Masonic Lodge, and the Little Cussetah Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Leroy of Placentia, Calif.; daughter, Janice Cypert of Sapulpa; brother, John of Joplin, Mo.; sisters, Eva Herrod and Mable Russell, both of South West City; Lucille Drake of Selma, Ore.; and Roxie Camp of Fruitland, Idaho; and three grandchildren.
The family has requested donations be made to the Leukemia Society.
