Gloria Molly Kuritz
Gloria Molly Kuritz born October 3, 1925, departed this life November 18, 2020, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Gloria lived most of her life in Beaumont, Texas, graduated from St Anthony High School. Later in life she took up quilting as a hobby and won honorable mention for her first entry in the Beaumont Quilt Guild. While we will miss her loving presence, we are thankful that she has found the peace and rest she deserves with God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliffred Charles Kuritz; son, Andrew William Kuritz; grandson, Ron Michael Taylor; parents, Floyd and Gladys Tevis; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Kuritz; son-in-law, Randal Humphrey; and sisters, Floy Marie Hayes, Mary Nelwyn Arena, Thelma Anne Green, Katherine Imelda McCormack, and Linda Patricia Smith.
She is survived by sons, Douglas Charles of Woodville, Texas; Donald Edward (Barb) of Lone Jack, Missouri; and Zachary Jude (Lorrie) of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Rita Patrizi (Dan) of Gonzales, Louisiana; Kristine Humphrey of Dallas, Texas; Karen Buchanan (Dave) of Fairfield, Texas; and Judy Melancon (Steve) of Gonzales, Louisiana; sister, Merlene Corley (Rex) of Dallas, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of Mrs. Kuritz’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2020, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
