GUY G. KETER-- Mr. Keter, 72 years old of 3915 Paseo Andalusia, West Palm Beach died Wednesday, July 8th at a local hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Keter had been a resident of West Palm Beach since 1929 coming here from Lowell, Massachusetts.

For many years he owned and operated a jewelry store in West Palm Beach and for 40 years owned and operated Keter Wholesale Produce Company.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army with the 5th Armored Division. He received a Silver Star for his participation in 5 campaigns in the European Theatre.

Mr. Keter was a member of St. Juliana's Catholic Church, West Palm Beach and served as head usher at St. Juliana's for over 20 years. In 1983 he received a 30 years service award from St. Juliana's Church for faithful and devoted service to the church. He was the recipient of the Primum Regnum Dei Award from the Archdiocese of Miami for outstanding service to his church.

Mr. Keter was a member of Palm Beach Council #2075 Knights of Columbus, West Palm Beach and he was a member of Fr. Andrew Doherty General Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, West Palm Beach.

Survivors include his wife, Cecelia Keter, West Palm Beach; 2 sons, Michael A. Keter, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Thomas Keter, Medina, Ohio and 4 daughters, Mrs. Michele Holling, Miss Cecelia Goins, Miss Mary A. Keter, and Mrs. Patricia Matthews, all of West Palm Beach.

Also surviving are 4 sisters, Mrs. L.A. Kalil, and Mrs. Ruth Signe, both of West Palm Beach, Mrs. Alice Williams, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Mrs. Agnes Najem, Lawrence, Massachusetts. Additional survivors include 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Thomas and John Keter who were both killed in action during World War II.

Rosary Services will be held at 7:30 PM on Friday, July 10th at QUATTLEBAUM-HOLLEMAN-BURSE FUNERAL HOME, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach. The Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, July 11th at St. Juliana's Catholic Church.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, July 10th.
