Karen Allen 70, of Clinton Road Jordan, passed away Saturday November 1, 2014, after a short but hard fought illness at University Hospital, Syracuse. The daughter of the late C Leigh and Verna Randall VanVliet, Karen was born in Cato, NY on November 19, 1943.
Karen had worked at Porter Cable/Rockwell Corp. and Carrier during her working years. She enjoyed a variety interests and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, both near and far. She looked forward to the yearly family reunions, whether she was attending the event or having planned the get together.
Karen was predeceased by her husband Donald Allen on August 26 of this year.
She is survived by her brother Lewis (Coralie) VanVliet step-son Michael (Debra) Allen of California, nieces, step grandchildren and great grandchildren, she also leaves many dear friends.
