In 1940 he and his parents and sister lived in a house they were renting for $25 a month on U.S. Highway 44 in Putnam, CT. His father worked as a forester for the U.S. Government, with an income in 1939 of $2000 for 52 weeks of work.

In 1950 he, his parents, sister, brother, and his maternal grandmother lived on Bent Creek Road just north of Avery Creek, NC. His father worked as a research manager for a forest experiment manager.

Robert Marsh Renshaw, Sr. passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 in Stockbridge, Georgia.

Robert was born on August 2, 1936 in Franklin, North Carolina to James and Mildred Renshaw. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served with dignity and respect until receiving his Honorable Discharge. After serving in the Air Force, he worked as an Air Traffic Controller.

A true believer in Christ, he was a member of Union Methodist Church. Robert loved golfing, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise in 1995.

Robert's life will forever be remembered and cherished by his companion, Sue Kimsey; children, Robert "Bobby" Marsh Renshaw, Jr., (Judi), Charmaine Jacobs (Todd Lundquist) and Dondra Durham (David); grandchildren, Lauren King, Aimee Purser, Chris Jacobs and Curtis Jacobs; three great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Hustava; a host of other relatives and family friends.

A Graveside Celebration of Life for Mr. Robert Marsh Renshaw, Sr. will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 1:00PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
