Mr. William Taylor Bottom, 85, died Thursday, June 28, 1995 at the Charleston Health Care Manor in Danville. Born August 31, 1909 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late William Green and Annie Belle Matherly Bottom. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Deep Creek Baptist church. He was the widower of Mary Frances Bottom. Survivors include: six sons, J. T. Bottom, Billy Bottom and Darrell Bottom all of Harrodsburg, Bobby Bottom, Wathan Bottom of Mercer County, Walter Bottom, Greenburg, IN; two daughters, Mrs. Wandola Cheatham, Harrodsburg and Mrs. Barbara Steele of Lecanto, Florida; one sister, Mrs. Julia Frances Peavler of Harrodsburg; two half sisters, Mrs. Beulah Claunch of Mercer County and Mrs. Hazel Click of Springfield; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Neil Bottom. Services for Mr. Bottom were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Calia and Bro. Bobby Logue officiating. Burial was in Deep Creek Cemetery.
