Barbara "Helen" (Galamb) Ehnot, 88, formerly of Universal, died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at home in Apollo.
She was born to the late John and Mary Galamb; wife of the late John R. Ehnot; beloved mother of Michele (Edward) Pastrick; beloved grandmother of Eric Lilja; adoring great-grandmother of Abigail Mary and Kathryn Isabelle; beloved sister of Virginia Wingard, Lewis "Lutzi" (Karen) Galamb and the late William "Billy", Ernest, Andrew and John Galamb; sister of Elsie Muko; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara loved people and talking to them and loved her flowers. She was also an excellent cook and baker, but most of all she loved her family.
Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with Parastas at 8 p.m. Tuesday, at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD., 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills, PA 15235. Panachida service at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Peter and Paul Church, Tarentum.
