Services for Fred Lamar Rodgers, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Tom Waters at Duck Hill on July 10th, were held at New Hope Methodist Church Saturday afternoon, July I2th at three o'clock with the Rev. Leslie Nabors of Winona assisted by Rev. Billy Joe Jones of Duck Hill officiating. Oliver Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Lee Kirk, Shed Kirk, L. P. Ferguson, James Turner, Earnest Nail and X. L. Swindoll.

Mr. Rodgers was born in Carroll county February 22, 1900, and married Miss Inez Martin in 1917. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church.

Besides his wife and Mrs. Waters, he leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Ray Heffner of Jackson and Miss Hulda Bell Rodgers of Winona; four sons, M. J. Rodgers, Duck Hill, Morris Rodgers, San Diego, Calif., Thomas Rodgers and Wilburn Rodgers, both of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Kirk and Mrs. Ruth Young, Duck Hill; three brothers, Joe Allen Rodgers, Gretna, La., Norman Rodgers, Winona and Chatham Rodgers, Memphis; and twelve grandchildren.
