Ernest was the son of George Perry Bryan and Mary Bell Griffin.

He married Lillian Estelle Anderson on July 21, 1912 in Frederick, Tillman County, Oklahoma. They had 2 children.

1--Alvis Anderson [1916-2001]
2--Joye Eloise [1919-1956]

OBITUARY

Services for Ernest Elmore Bryan, 91, were held Aug. 17 in the 13th and Josephine Church of Christ in Frederick.
Bryan died Aug. 15 in the Oak Cliff Methodist Hospital in Dallas following a long illness.
Gray Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Cline Paden, minister of Sunset Church of Christ, Lubbock, Tx. and Stansell Bryan, minister of Church of Christ, Valliant, Ok. officiated. Interment was in Frederick Memorial Cemetery.
Bryan's grandsons were casket bearers.
Bryan was born in Denton County, Tx. March 22, 1889. He came to Frederick in 1921 and lived in Tillman and Kiowa counties until 1931 when he moved too Abilene, Tx. He moved to Lubbock, Tx. in 1947.
He married Lillian Anderson, July 21, 1912 in Frederick. She preceds him in death.
Bryan was a retired building and paint contractor and an automobile dealer. He was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ, Lubbock, where he served as Elder for many years.
Survivors include one son, Alvis Bryan, Cedar Hill, Tx.; a brother, Perry Bryan, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Williams, Newcastle, Ok., and Mrs. Evel Rogers. Petersburg, Tx.
Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Johnny Anderson and sister-in-law, Cenia Wallace, both of Frederick. There are eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Children's Home of Lubbock or to the Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock.
