Harold Lawrence Austin, 80 of Grafton passed away Friday, October 30, 2020, with his family by his side. He was born May 23, 1940 in Grafton son of the late Harold Wayne and Edna Virginia Satterfield Austin. He was preceded in death by his wife Sheila Pearl Herbert Austin, May 17, 2020.

Harold served in the Air Force, worked at Seneca Glass in Morgantown as a glass-blower, and also worked for Dan's Construction for sixteen years. He was an avid Steerers Fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends while making lots of memories.

Harold is survived by four children, Danny Austin and wife Darci, MI, Rick Austin, Clarksburg, Debbie Moran and husband Jamie, Grafton, Amanda Austin, Grafton, eleven grandchildren, Chad Bolyard (Amy), Grafton, Shawn Shaffer (Samantha) WV, Michael McGee (Carrissa) Flemington, Kimmy Freeland (Justin) Clarksburg, Chantel Austin, Clarksburg, Ricky Austin Clarksburg, Josh Austin, WV, Ayron Austin, MI., Cody Austin(Megan), VA, T.J. Fawcett, MI., and Whitney Austin, NC and numerous great grandchildren, three brothers, William Austin, GA, Gerald Austin, NC, and Jack "Pete" Austin, NC., two sisters, Kandy Lafleche, GA, and Karen Falter, GA, his special fur baby Toby, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Kimberly Austin, and Lisa McGee, one brother, Edward W. Austin, one sister, Mary K. Sinclair, his fur baby Max.

Friends may call on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM with proper distancing and face mask required. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 11:00 AM. Bartlett Funeral Home with Major Tonya and Major Eric Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the WV National Cemetery where full Military rites will be accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the Air Force.
