Emerson E. Capps, an old and respected citizen living near DeQueen, died Saturday night after a few days illness. Congestion was the immediate cause of his death. Mr. Capps was 68 years old and had spent about 50 years of that time in the Western part of Sevier County. He bore an excellent reputation as a law-abiding citizen. The remains were buried Sunday afternoon at the Chapel Hill Cemetery. He left a widow and seven sons, all of whom were present at his burial except one son, who lives in Texas.
