1910 US Census- Dated Apr. 25th, living in St. Joseph, Missouri with a 'Private Family' of six people (Four adults and two children)- The Landis Family.
Jessie was listed as a 'Servant' to the head of household.
Also listed in the household was Jessie's younger sister, Genevieve.
Jessie's occupation: Cook for Private Family
Genevieve's occupation: Housemaid for Private Family.
Genevieve and Jessie's employer, John Landis was a lawyer.

1910 US Census- Dated Apr. 20th. Jessie may have been visiting her family in Washington, Doniphan, Kansas. In the household was both of her parents, two sisters; Gertrude and Agnes; one brother, Henry and one niece, Clara (her mother, Rose was not in the household).

Checking a map since Jessie was listed on two 1910 Census' I checked the distance between Washington, Kansas and St. Joseph, Missouri. Washington, Kansas is about 122 miles west of St. Joseph or about a two hour drive (by today's standards).
