Last rites for Mrs. Alma Rodgers Peters, native of Carroll County, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December I at Mission Baptist Church with Rev. J. M. Metts and Rev. W. M. Hull conducting. Interment was in Mission cemetery with Wright and Ferguson of Jackson in charge.
Mrs. Peters married Joseph A. Peters, January 1. 1896. She died after two years illness at the age of 84 in the home of Mrs. E. L. Stanford, Route 2, Jackson, on November 30th.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. E. L. Stanford, Jackson, Mrs. C. L. Booth of Vaiden and four sons, A. D. Peters and J. H. Peters of Millington, Tenn., and J. D. Peters, Penns Grove, New Jersey, 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers were her five grandsons, C. L. Booth, Jr., J. L Stanford, C. L. Stanford, J. E. Peters, H. L. Guest and nephew, H. B. Vance.
