Mr. Kenneth E. Parker, 73 years old, of 213 Dudley Drive, died Sunday, October 9, 1994 at his residence. Born July 6, 1921 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late William Harlan Parker and Jennings Bryant Chapman Parker. He was the husband of Vivian Hughes Parker. He was a self-employed barber. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic church, Past President of the Church Council, served on the finance committee at church, life time member and past commander of VFW and American Legion, Past district commander of VFW and American Legion, 40/8 group, served as treasurer for Fish and Game Club for years, State Service Officer, State Quarter Master - American Legion, and past president of Mercer Little League. He was an army veteran of World War II. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: a son, Kenneth E. Parker, II, Mill Valley, CA; two daughters, Ann Crosier, Ocala, FL and Bonnie Moore, Burgin; two step sons, Marc and Steven Norvell, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Donald Parker, Greenfield, IN; two sisters, Madeline Yocum, Salvisa, Hazel Edmondson, Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren. Services for Mr. Parker were held Wednesday, October 12, 10:30 a.m., at St. Andrews Catholic Church with Fr. Joe Muench officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites. Pall bearers were Chris McKinney, Brandon McKinney, Adam Sewell, Gene Moore, Joe Ruby and Jimmy Pearson. Honorary bearers were members of the VFW and American Legion.
