Born in the Sirhowy area of Monmouthshire, Wales, Ann married David T. Richards in Bedwellty parish in 1829. They emigrated from Wales in 1833 & settled initially in Five Points (Belmont) Schuylkill County. In 1846 they moved to St Clair where they were faithful members of the Welsh Congregational Church & remained for the rest of their lives. Ann & David were survived by only 2 of their 11 children & by a niece that they adopted.
