Bill was a loving husband and father and a friend to all. He was a retired veteran of the US Army and worked at the Gold Vault Inn after retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ingeborg Amburn; parents, Joseph & Myrtle Amburn; four brothers, Charles, Hartsell, Eddie and Wayne Amburn; one sister, Ernestine Snider.
Survivors include: his son Walter Amburn & his wife, Christina of Konzell, Germany; one grandson, Benjamin Schroeter & wife Sabrina of Hausen, Germany; three great-grandchildren, Paul, Pia, and Emma; three brothers, Jimmy (Bobbie) Amburn of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, Floyd (Viva) Amburn of Hixson, TN, and Clyde (Linda) Amburn of Loudon, TN; four sisters, Wanda (Allen) McCulley of Loudon, TN, Josephine (Wayne) Currier of Philadelphia, TN, Jean Amburn and Jane Amburn both of Loudon, TN; one sister-in-law, Shirley Amburn; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors to be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY. Procession will meet at 1:00 PM
